RR buy Stokes for 12.5 Cr

Ben Stokes has been purchased by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for 12.50 Cr. He was the highest purchased played in IPL  2017, going for 14.5 crores to Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS). Stokes’ base price was set at INR 2 Cr. He scored a blistering hundred for RPS last year against Gujarat Lions. Stokes played 12 matches for RPS in 2017, accumulating 316 runs along with 12 wickets. He was also named as MVP for the 10th season of IPL.

A total of 578 players including 360 Indians will be available in this year’s IPL auction that is being held at Bengaluru today and tomorrow. After 10 successful IPL editions, the teams will look forward to build their core once again. Expect a huge bidding war. Each team were given options to retain five players.

After a two-year exile, CSK and Rajasthan Royals RR are back in the fray.
