That’s it. MI have been knocked out. Ben Cutting was pulling it off in style after hammering Liam Plunkett and Harshal Patel. However, he fell after taking MI closer to the Playoffs, and the game was sealed there itself.

MI 163 all-out in 19.3 overs. DD win by 11 runs.

DD have carried on another spirited performance here. Boy, they made blunders in their playing XIs in the first half of the tournament or else would have been in the competition. They have got rid of all the key MI players, and almost knocked out the defending champions.

    After 16 overs, MI 126-7.

Lamichhane and Mishra’s one over each will decide MI’s run. Hardik is taking his chances, and I am sure Rohit will like to bat till the deep. DD cannot afford to relax. They need to concentrate. Liam Plunkett is also keeping it tight so Iyer has options.

    MI 99-5 (12).

DD on fire courtesy Lamichhane. He removes Kieron Pollard, with a combined fielding effort from Maxwell-Boult, and gets rid of Krunal Pandya as well.

You got to acknowledge Lamichhane’s spin and control over it. MI, after 10 overs, 80-5. They need 95 to proceed to the Playoffs.

OUT! Amit Mishra comes into the attack straight after powerplays and sends back Ishan Kishan. He took on Mishra, the senior pro and in-form tweaker, on his first ball and paid the price. Vijay Shankar does a fine balancing act at the deep to hold onto the catch. Signs of Rohit?

    MI 57-2 (6.1).

OUT! The Sandeep Lamichhane over was a risk to take for Shreyas Iyer but he took it and after being smashed for 12 runs off the first three balls he has got his man. Suryakumar Yadav departs early.

DD were on course for anything over 185 with Pant in the middle after 15 overs. However, his fall meant MI pulled things back. Nonetheless, 174 for 4 is a good total on this slow wicket. Plus, Rohit landed on his left shoulder and seems in pain. If he is out early, DD have a sure shot chance to oust the defending champions. Game on, guys!

DD need to replicate their bowling performance, versus CSK, to end MI’s run. Join us back in sometime!

Pant is accelerating. He regained the Orange Cap, became the highest run-scorer for a wicketkeeper in an IPL, and now is accelerating one-handedly (no pun intended). He is smacking them out of the park. Fasten your seat belts.

    DD 136-3 (16). Expect anything beyond 180. Or 200?

The TV screens showed Gautam Gambhir. Got to feel for this guy. He made a change by shifting base from KKR to his state side for their betterment. Yes, DD weren’t that inspiring under him but you can’t blame him single-handedly. He chose to step down from captaincy, and gave away his place as well. DD may not have a place for him in the upcoming seasons and invest on their promising youngsters. Have we seen the end of Gauti in IPL? :(

A staggering 71.55 % of Pant’s runs have come under boundaries.
