Heinrich Klaasen entered the record books with his performance for Rajasthan Royals (RR) as they in the hunt for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 Playoffs after they beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, by 30 runs in Match 53 of the tournament. Klaasen stumped Parthiv Patel, Mandeep Singh, and AB de Villiers, all of them off Shreyas Gopal, equalling the IPL record of 3 stumpings in a match. Only MS Dhoni (twice) and Robin Uthappa have stumped three different batsmen in a single IPL match. Here is the complete list:

Klaasen became the wicketkeeper to take 4 or more victims in a match (Dinesh Karthik and Wriddhiman Saha have done this twice). Kumar Sangakkara is the only one with 5 dismissals in a match. The record for most dismissals for RR in a match before today was 3, held by Mahesh Rawat (twice), Dishant Yagnik, and Sanju Samson. Of course, Sangakkara still holds the record against RCB. Rawat, Yagnik, and Samson also hold the record for most dismissals in a match at Jaipur (3).
Earlier in the match, Klaasen slammed a 21-ball 32, helping set the platform for RR. However, Klaasen might not have even played had Jos Buttler been available.
