Quinton de Kock 18(16) Manan Vohra 2(5) Virat Kohli 30(26) AB de Villiers 90*(39) Corey Anderson 15(13) Mandeep Singh 17*(9) Trent Boult 4-33-1 Glenn Maxwell 2-13-1 Shahbaz Nadeem 2-27-0 Chris Morris 4-43-0 Harshal Patel 3-33-1 Rahul Tewatia 3-26-0

  • 11:27 PM IST

Now AB de Villiers launches into a Trent Boult bouncer and uppercuts it for four. The next ball, a cover-drive for four, and RCB WIN! RCB win by 6 wickets with 12 balls to spare!

  • 11:22 PM IST

SIX! Mandeep Singh tries to pull and top-edges, the Superbat takes it over deep fine-leg. A distraught Chris Morris bowls a wide. The mid-off is up, and Mandeep lofts over him for four. RCB are closing in real quick. RCB 163/4 (17), need 12 in 18

  • 11:11 PM IST

SIX! Now Corey Anderson, Trent Boult bowls a full toss, Anderson gives it his all, into the stands over mid-wicket! Some weird confusion between Anderson and de Villiers result in a single (both men could have been run out). Then Boult knocks over Anderson’s leg-stump. RCB 148/4 (15.5), need 27 in 25

  • 11:06 PM IST

SIX! THIS IS ONE HUMONGOUS HIT, STRAIGHT ON TO THE ROOF! What is AB de Villiers doing today? The next ball disappears past fine leg for four. Chris Morris is falling apart, why is Trent Boult being held back? RCB 140/3 (15), need 35 in 30

  • 11:00 PM IST

SIX! Now AB de Villiers goes after Rahul Tewatia, slog-sweeps him into the stands. Gautam Gambhir is probably leaving Trent Boult for too late. RCB 126/3 (14), need 49 in 36

  • 10:56 PM IST

SIX! AB de Villiers decides enough is enough and lofts Harshal Patel over long-on into the stands. Then Harshal bowls outside off, AB moves outside off and kneels to smash that past long-off for four (how do you play that?). And off the last ball, he moves outside off and sweeps him into the stands, Harshal falls apart. RCB 115/3 (13), need 60 in 42

  • 10:50 PM IST

Suddenly things are looking different. Rahul Tewatia is getting them to spit off a length. Corey Anderson pulls one violently, but Trent Boult dives — again to his wrong side — and makes an incredible save. RCB 97/3 (12), need 78 in 48

  • 10:46 PM IST

Full-toss on leg from Harshal Patel, you cannot get away by bowling them to AB de Villiers. Casual flick for four. Kohli slaps a bouncer towards long-on and they sprint for two. And now Kohli tries to flick a full-toss over square-leg, and Trent Boult leaps up and catches it out of thin air with his wrong hand, I doubt whether we will see a better catch this season, seriously. RCB 92/3 (11), need 83 in 54, Virat Kohli c Trent Boult b Harshal Patel 30

  • 10:41 PM IST

Now AB de Villiers goes on a rampage, lofting Rahul Tewatia over mid-wicket into the stands — no, above it, on the roof. RCB 82/2 (10), need 93 in 60

  • 10:36 PM IST

This is an excellent over from Harshal Patel. Nothing but singles off it, though one gets the feeling that both Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers will cut loose any time now. RCB 72/2 (9), need 103 in 66

  • 10:31 PM IST

Once again Morris errs in line and length, easy picking from Kohli, a flick past square-leg for four. Daredevils need a wicket now, and need it quickly. RCB 66/2 (8), need 109 in 72

  • 10:27 PM IST

Shahbaz Nadeem starts off well, but AB de Villiers clinically sweeps his fourth ball for four. The next ball, he flicks off the back-foot to the mid-wicket fence. The next ball goes to the square-leg fence again. This is top batting from the great man. RCB 57/2 (7), need 118 in 78

  • 10:23 PM IST

SIX! Chris Morris errs in both line and length, and Virat Kohli picks it up. That clears deep mid-wicket easily, and the ropes too. However, that is all Kohli gets off that over, so Morris wins the battle. RCB 43/2 (6), need 132 in 84

  • 10:20 PM IST

AB de Villiers comes out. He gets into the groove from the start, dispatching Shahbaz Nadeem for two fours, one to the leg, one to off, off the second and third balls he faces. RCB 37/2 (5), need 138 in 90

  • 10:18 PM IST

Virat Kohli gets a life! Shahbaz Nadeem’s ball turns and takes Kohli’s edge, but it runs between wicketkeeper and first slip for four! Now Kohli places one to gully and keeps running, Quinton de Kock has to sacrifice his wicket. RCB 29/2 (4.3), need 147 in 93, Quinton de Kock run out (Rahul Tewatia) 18

  • 10:14 PM IST

SIX! Glenn Maxwell tosses up, and Quinton de Kock sweeps him over square-leg into the stands, is that the start? RCB 24/1 (4), need 152 in 96

  • 10:11 PM IST

Cautious batting from both Virat Kohli and Quinton de Kock. Six singles off that over. RCB 15/1 (3), need 161 in 102

  • 10:09 PM IST

OUT! Manan Vohra top-edges that one, Jason Roy runs in at breakneck pace and dives forward to take it millimetres above the ground! RCB 9/1 (2), need 167 in 108, Manan Vohra c Jason Roy b Glenn Maxwell 2

  • 10:04 PM IST

Decent start from Trent Boult. Quinton de Kock cover-drove him for four, but Boult rapped him on the pad off the last ball. It would have been umpire’s call. RCB 5/0 (1), need 170 in 114

  • 9:47 PM IST

DD 170/5(20) Jason Roy 5(16) Gautam Gambhir 3(10) Shreyas Iyer 52(31) Rishabh Pant 85(48) Glenn Maxwell 4(6) Rahul Tewatia 13*(9) Chris Morris 0*(0) Umesh Yadav 4-27-1 Chris Woakes 4-40-0 Yuzvendra Chahal 3-22-2 Mohammed Siraj 4-35-0 Washington Sundar 4-31-1 Corey Anderson 1-10-1

  • 9:44 PM IST

And now Rahul Tewatia: loses his balance trying to scoop but gets it away to the fence anyway. Corey Anderson beats him off the last ball, and that is that. DD 174/5 (20)

  • 9:42 PM IST

SIX! Terrific batting from Rishabh Pant, steps out and dispatches Corey Anderson over wide long-on! And then he falls, tries an encore but doesn’t get it away as well (his hand comes off the bat), and is caught at long-on. Virat Kohli applauds him. DD 170/5 (19.4), Rishabh Pant c AB de Villiers b Corey Anderson 85

  • 9:38 PM IST

SIX! Now Rishabh Pant goes after Chris Woakes, the ball disappears over extra-cover! The fourth ball goes for four leg-byes off Pant’s pants (sorry). Off the fifth, pitched up outside off, Pant miraculously gets under the ball and hits over third-man for four. And the last ball goes for four as well. What an over for Daredevils! DD 163/4 (19)

  • 9:33 PM IST

SIX, Mohammed Siraj strays on the legs, and Rishabh Pant casually dispatches him over square-leg! Three balls later he does it again, this time straight. DD 145/4 (18)

  • 9:27 PM IST

Two fours and a single for Rahul Tewatia, but two dots too, followed by a four from Rishabh Pant. Not good, from Chris Woakes. Can Delhi reach 160? DD 130/4 (17)

  • 9:22 PM IST

SIX and SIX, this is incredible from Rishabh Pant! First a straight one, that is still ‘acceptable’, but the next one is a superbly timed reverse-sweep that clears the fence! DD 117/4 (16)

  • 9:20 PM IST

OUT! Glenn Maxwell chanced his arms against Yuzvendra Chahal but the ball almost refused to come to him. He played too soon, and the ball ballooned towards point. DD 105/4 (15.3), Glenn Maxwell c Mohammed Siraj b Yuzvendra Chahal 4

  • 9:08 PM IST

SIX! SIX! Shreyas Iyer is turning on the heat, lofting Washington Sundar first over mid-wicket, then slog-sweeping him over the ropes! But Sundar strikes back: Shreyas tries to glide an overpitched delivery but hits straight to third-man! DD 98/3 (14), Shreyas Iyer c Mohammed Siraj b Washington Sunder 52

  • 9:03 PM IST

Shreyas Iyer casually places one past cover for a brilliantly timed four! And off the last ball of the over, Rishabh Pant lofts straight for six! DD 84/2 (13)

Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the VIVO IPL 2018Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on the Delhi Daredevils (DD) in the match 19 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Both teams have won only one game each in the tournament and occupy the bottom two spots of the points table. DD were one of the strongest sides on paper before the IPL but their main players have failed to deliver; only two batsmen have scored fifties for them.

For RCB, bowling has been a major concern, especially in the death overs. Like every year they have a very strong batting line up with the likes of Virat Kohli, Quinton de Kock, AB de Villiers and Corey Anderson (who replaced Brendon McCullum in the last game). Kohli’s form, however, is a positive for them: he is currently the Orange Cap holder with 201 runs in 4 matches.

Royal Challengers Bangalore likely XI: Quinton de Kock (wk), Virat Kohli (c), AB de Villiers, Mandeep Singh, Corey Anderson, Sarfaraz Khan, Washington Sundar, Chris Woakes, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj.

Delhi Daredevils likely XI: Jason Roy, Gautam Gambhir (c), Rishabh Pant (wk), Glenn Maxwell, Shreyas Iyer, Vijay Shankar, Chris Morris, Rahul Tewatia, Shahbaz Nadeem, Mohammed Shami, Trent Boult
