MS Dhoni overshadowed the brilliance of AB de Villiers as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Match 24 of VIVO IPL 2018, at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. CSK’s victory was set up by the partnership between Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu. Chasing 206, the duo added 101 off just 53 balls in an innings that witnessed 17 sixes. The match recorded 33 sixes, which is a IPL record.

Earlier, despite CSK putting brakes in the RCB momentum, conceded 16 sixes as the hosts piled up 205. AB smashed 8 of those sixes. Amid the run mayhem, Dwayne Bravo, Imran Tahir, Yuzvendra Chahal and Umesh Yadav returned with impressive bowling figures.
