SRH might have lost the game but they have made a strong statement here that they are not completely reliable on their bowling attack. Kane Williamson like always was the star batsmen for them scoring 81 runs. RCB have won their must win game by 14 runs.
Least innings to score 1,000 runs in IPL:
21 – Shaun Marsh
23 – Lendl Simmons
25 – Matthew Hayden
27 – Chris Gayle
28 – KANE WILLIAMSON*#RCBvSRH— Umang Pabari (@UPStatsman) May 17, 2018
SRH are not giving it wasy for RCB. The equation is still more but the good thing is that Manish Pandey has started striking from the other end. This will reduce the pressure off Williamson .
Manish Pandey is adding more pressure on Williamson scoring 6 off 12. But Willaimson doesn’t seem to complain about that. However required run rate now is over 14.
Williamson is such a pleasure to watch. He might not have played a power hitting innings but he has been placing the ball beautifully this season. He is doing it again. Can he win it for his team?
OUT! WHAT WAS THAT! AB you beauty. How does he manages to pull such catches. We have seen many catches go down in this particular match. In the first innings it was Rashid Khan and now Ab de Villiers. Kohli’s excitement says it all.

SRH are fighting hard here. Kane Williamson has joined Hales in the middle after the dismissal of Shikhar Dhawan off Chahal. Hales seems very well set and with WIlliamson in the middle they can chase it down as well.
Alex Hales and Shikhar Dhawan are turning things on in Bengaluru. It has been Hales who has anchored the innings so far. RCB have dropped 2 tough catches by now.
Shikhar Dhawan needs to play a vital role today if SRH wants to win this one. Alex Hales too needs to step up, they cannot leave things on Kane Williamson everytime. They also miss the service of Yusuf Pathan today.
Sarfaraz has played a very fine hand here. He played a cameo of 22 off 8 balls to take his team to a good total. With all the chances RCB batsmen got they have managed to put up 218 on board. SRH need some special innings to chase it down.
Thampi surely will want to forget the night. He has been smashed to all parts of the ground by the RCB bowlers. Ishant Sharma held the record of conceding most runs in a game (no surprises) . However,Thampi has went past him by 4 runs.

Sarfaraz enters after the fall of Mandeep Singh’s wicket. He has been backed a lot by the team and was even retained by the franchise. He has to prove to his worth today.
Even after the wickets of AB and Moeen the run rate is still 10 an over. So the new batsmen are doing a good job here. Are we in for another 200 game here? RCB can well fancy their chances with that score.
OUT! Rashid Khan yet again gets the wicket of AB and then just a few balls later he gets the wicket of well set Moeen Ali. SRH are surely back in the game and it is Rashid Khan again who has delivered for them.
That has landed in the cubbon park of Bangalore. Just now we heard the commentators mention how AB has hit 10 fours and no sixes. AB is here to change that figure. He has hit the first one landing out of the ground.
De Villiers seemed comfortable right from the time he hit the first boundary. He has bought up his 4th half-century of the season, If he stays in the middle we are in for a big total. Moeen Ali from the other end is also sending the ball in the crowd.
How costly is the missed opportunity is going to cost SRH? Moeen Ali has been looking good in the middle and is playing the spin pretty well. RCB are nearing 100 and up for a big score.
AB and Moeen have gained momentum for RCB here. The problem for RCB begins when any one of them falls. They have a middle order that has failed to perform in this season.
Kohli misses out on the opportunity to complete his 5,000 runs today. AB is continuing with his hitting from the other end as Moeen Ali joins him in the middle.
AB de Villiers is on a roll here! He has already smashed a few boundaries and looking very stable in the middle. Kohli on the other end is happy to rotate the strike. I am sure he admires de Villiers from the other end.
OUT! Parthiv Patel who was dropped on the very first ball doesn’t stay for a longer time in the middle. This has also got AB and Kohli together. AB has already hit two boundaries and announced his arrival.
Virat Kohli and Parthiv Patel have made their way to the middle. Virat Kohli only needs 68 runs to become the first player to score 5,000 IPL runs. With him opening and the match being a vital one there are all chances he may reach the landmark today.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (Playing XI): Virat Kohli(c), Parthiv Patel(w), Moeen Ali, AB de Villiers, Mandeep Singh, Sarfaraz Khan, Colin de Grandhomme, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal
Sunrisers Hyderabad (Playing XI): Shikhar Dhawan, Alex Hales, Kane Williamson(c), Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Shakib Al Hasan, Shreevats Goswami(w), Rashid Khan, Siddarth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma, Basil Thampi
SRH have won the toss and opted to ball. The pitch looks tailor made for their spinners. However, the big news is Basil Thampi comes in for Bhuvneshwar Kumar, RCB will continue to play with their winning side.
The cracks on the hard pitch are a clear indication that spinners will be in action today. It would be interesting to see how Rashid and Shakib bowl to some of the greatest batsmen of all time.

Table-toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Bengaluru. We will bring you the live updates and interesting tweets in this space. RCB are fighting to stay alive in the tournament as they face SRH in a must-win clash. Virat Kohli’s men have raised their game in the last few matches and an improved bowling unit is now doing the job for the side. However, the side’s batting is largely dependent on Kohli and AB de Villiers. Parthiv Patel has played cameos but other batters will need to step up in order to go the distance. SRH’s bowling is the best in the tournament. When the teams clashed the last time, SRH successfully defended 146 against the RCB power-hitters. SRH would like to extend their stay at the No.1 spot with another win. A defeat here will see the end of RCB’s hopes in the tournament. To cut it short, it will be a battle between RCB’s batters and SRH’s bowlers. Watch out for: Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav, Shikhar Dhawan, Kane Williamson, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan. Head to head, SRH have a 7-4 advantage.
