Bhuvi has done it and he has proved that he is the best death bowler currently. Colin de Grandhomme has messed up the last ball when 6 were required of it. SRH once again has defended 146 and stood up to their reputation. Another disappointing defeat for RCB.
Can Bhuvi do it? Can he? This is the moment he has to prove it.
SRH surely would want to add this one to the recordin #IPL2018 #SRH have successfully defended totals of….
118/10 – won by 31 runs
132/6 – won by 13 runs
151/7 – won by 11 runs
146/10 – tonight?#SRHvRCB— Mohandas Menon (@mohanstatsman) May 7, 2018

The batsmen are struggling they seriously are. Both Mandeep and de Grandhomme are not even scoring run a ball. Quick scoring is not the question here but they do not want to take it to the last over.
There is not much margin between the balls and runs. The key here for RCB will be the partnership. De Grandhomme can take RCB from here but he needs to stay till the end. Rashid Khan has still got one over and not to forget the specialist Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Oh boy oh boy. We were done appreciating RCB bowlers and now it;s time to do it for the SRH spinners. Shakib and Rashid might have just got SRH back into the match. One more wicket here and they take charge. Moeen Ali will play a vital role here.
ABD survives and he survives big time. What made Rashid and Williamson go for the review? There was absolutely nothing. AB was very confident that he did not nick it. The fielding and the catching has been the major issue for SRH and especially on Rashid Khan’s bowling.
Parthiv PAtel gave a good start to RCB but failed to continue the momentum. Virat Kohli who came one down has already smashed 22 off 12. Siddarth Kaul has been bought into the attack from SRH.
RCB need 147 to win. It has been the same old story for SRH. Kane Willaimson was the lone ranger again, Shakib was well set but was done by a slower ball by Tim Southee. However, you have to give credit to RCB bowlers they have done a wonderful job here.
OUT! HAlf onf the Sunrisers side has been sent back to the pavilion. The well set Shakib Al Hasan as to go back. One good thing for the home side is the presence of Yusuf Pathan in the middle. Saha has joined him.
OUT! Umesh Yadav sends back KAne Williamson just when he was looking dangerous. RCB bowlers have done a great job here, they have stood up for all the criticism and proved it wrong. What will be the final score tonight?
Virat Kohli is looking more calm and composed in today’s match and has used his bowling options very well. He has rotated them which has created pressure and kept things tight.

OUT! Manish Pandey falls for 5. RCB bowlers are doing a good job, especially the bowlers. They have kept things very tight conceding only 47 runs in 8 overs. Kane Williamson’s stay in the middle matters.
Kane Williamson has played only 10 balls but has looked in superb touch with the shots he has played till now. He is surely enjoying the extra responsibility of captaincy.
OUT! Tim Southee swings it and swings it well to disturb the bails of Alex Hales. Moeen and Umesh had kept things tight and the boundaries were hard to find. Kane Williamson joins Shikhar Dhawani the middle.
Alex Hales and Shikhar Dhawan make their way to the middle as Moeen Ali is all set to bowl the first over on his debut. This will be an interesting contest between the bat and ball.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (Playing XI): Alex Hales, Shikhar Dhawan, Kane Williamson(c), Manish Pandey, Shakib Al Hasan, Yusuf Pathan, Wriddhiman Saha(w), Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Siddarth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma
Royal Challengers Bangalore (Playing XI): Parthiv Patel(w), Manan Vohra, Virat Kohli(c), AB de Villiers, Mandeep Singh, Moeen Ali, Colin de Grandhomme, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal
RCB opt to bowl. There are two changes in the RCB squad as Manan Vohra replaces Murugan Ashwin and Moeem Ali finally gets a game. He is in for Brendan McCullum. SRH play with same team.
© AFP Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, Match 39. The match will see Kane Williamson men in Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) go against Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their own backyard. The match will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. We will be bringing you the live updates, and interesting tweets. This is the first time both sides will square off in the ongoing season.
This is the first time in this IPL that these two teams will be facing each other. SRH have had a good season so far as they sit on top of the points table having won 7 out of their 9 encounters . They have developed a reputation of defending low scores because of their strong bowling line-up.
RCB on the end are almost out of the competition having won only 3 out of their 9 matches. They lost thier last match against Chennai Super Kings in their adopted home ground at Pune and challenging SRH at their own backyard will be a humongous test. SRH have lost just one encounter at home, and they start as favourites here as well. SRH’s bowling line up would be tested against the top order of RCB.
If RCB has to keep their chances alive someone from the top order needs to stand up to the occasion and deliver a big knock. Their bowling has been a major concern for them. SRH on the other hand heavily rely on Williamson in their batting order.
