Shreyas Iyer has won the toss and Delhi Capitals (DC) have elected to bowl against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Eliminator of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.

DC have made one change to their playing XI as Colin Munro replaced Colin Ingram. SRH, too have made a change in the team as Deepak Hooda comes in place of Yusuf Pathan.

Explaining why DC chose to bowl first, Iyer said: “The wickets looks a bit sticky. We practised yesterday and there was dew – it is an added advantage. We are going to treat it as another game. But it is a playoff and the players are nervous.”

SRH too would have bowled first, had they won the toss, said skipper Kane Williamson. (IPL 2019, DC vs SRH: FOLLOW LATEST UPDATES)

“That is the case, we were also looking to bowl first. It looks like a good surface bit little bit on the tacky side. But we have to see how it plays and assess the conditions as we go by. Manish has been playing really well. Obviously couple of players have left us, but at the end of the day the team has been playing some good cricket, just not quite getting across the line. So important for us to make that step up today,” said Williamson.
