LSG Skipper KL Rahul Returns To Bat Against RCB Despite Injury
New Delhi: Lucknow Super Giants skipper returned to bat after being out due to an injury for most of the match. He came back after LSG lost 9 wickets and they needed 24 runs off 8 balls. He injured himself while fielding in the first innings and was taken out of the ground. However, he couldn’t do much as RCB still manage to beat them by a margin of 18 runs.
RCB Take Revenge On LSG
Josh Hazlewood and Karn Sharma picked two wickets each in a superb bowling performance as Royal Challengers Bangalore defended a modest 126 and beat Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Monday.
Apart from the duo, Mohammed Siraj, Glenn Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel took a wicket each to bowl out Bangalore for 108 in 19.5 overs. The win has also taken Bangalore to ten points and fifth place due to the net run rate, while Lucknow have slipped to third place but still have ten points.
Kohli-Gambhir Fight
Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and India captain Virat Kohli and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) mentor Gautam Gambhir nearly got into a scuffle after a match between the two teams here on Monday.
Videos have surfaced on social media that show Kohli and Gambhir exchanging words and an animated Gambhir, expressing his resentment at something said or done by Kohli, being stopped by LSG players from charging at his former India and Delhi Ranji Trophy teammate. Kohli and Gambhir eventually had an animated exchange of words before being separated by other players and coaches to control things before it went out of hand.
It all started after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs. RCB defended a low score of 127 successfully to strengthen their position in the points table.
Gambhir and Kohli were then seen exchanging words and players of both teams had to intervene and separate the two. Gambhir initially pulled away an LSG player who was talking with Kohli.
