IPL 2025 updated Points table: Mumbai Indians top the table as Rajasthan Royals is eliminated from Playoffs race

Mumbai Indians secured a 100-run victory over Rajasthan Royals. They are currently at the top place in the points table, and Rajasthan Royals have now been eliminated from race to playoffs.

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians (MI) beat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 100 runs on 1st May, securing the top place in the standings. The Hardik Pandya-led side pushed Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to the second place and secured the top place because of a higher Net Run Rate (NRR).

Royal Challengers Bengaluru is at the second place, Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the third and Gujarat Titans (GT) is at the third. Provided below is the updated IPL 2025 points table after the MI vs RR clash.

After losing to Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals have become the second team to get eliminated from the race to playoffs in the IPL 2025. Chennai Super Kings were the first one to get eliminated. RR have three matches remaining, which they will play against KKR, CSK and PBKS respectively.

Coming to the match, MI were sent to bat first and rode on brisk half-centuries from Rohit Sharma (53 off 36 balls) and Ryan Rickelton (61 off 38) to post a formidable total of 217 runs.

Skipper Hardik Pandya (48 off 23 balls) and Suryakumar Yadav (48 off 23) gave finishing touches to MI’s innings with their whirlwind knocks.

The likes of Jasprit Bumrah (2/15) and Trent Boult (3/28) then rattled the RR batting before leg-spinner Karn Sharma (3/23) wrapped up a big win for the visitors.
