New Zealand star all-rounder Corey Anderson was on Tuesday sold to Mumbai Indians for INR 4.5 crores in the Indian Premier League auction 2014.


All eyes today were on Anderson, who was expected to be one of the hot properties this season.


The base price for Anderson was a crore, and Rajasthan Royals opened the bid. Mumbai Indians took over, and Delhi Daredevils joined in, following which Rajasthan Royals stopped bidding.


Mumbai Indians finally bid four crores, when Delhi Daredevils backed out. Sunrisers Hyderabad then bid 4.25 crores, and Mumbai Indians upped it to 4.5 crores. The Sunrisers did not persist.
