Rajasthan Royals have bought New Zealand’s pace spearhead, Tim Southee for INR 1.2 crores.

Some action finally as Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals had a tussle over Southee. Once would have expected the bid for Southee to rise higher, given his recent prowess with the ball and his big-hitting abilities.

Southee had been priced at Rs 50 lakhs, and after some bidding from Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, the latter claimed him for what can be classified as a throwaway price.
