IPL Auction 2018: D’arcy Short sold to Rajasthan Royals (RR) for INR 4 crores

D’arcy Short, the highest run scorer in Big Bash League  2018 (BBL) with 504 runs has been purchased by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) for INR 4 crores. Short has also scored the most runs in an edition of BBL history. Short’s base price was set INR 20 Lakhs. Delhi Daredevils were also betting for Short but it was RR who bagged him. Short may make his debut for Australia in T20I tri series against England and New Zealand.

A total of 578 players including 360 Indians will be available in this year’s IPL auction that is being held at Bengaluru today and tomorrow. After 10 successful IPL editions, the teams will look forward to build their core once again. Expect a huge bidding war. Each team were given options to retain five players.
