IPL Auction 2018: Virender Sehwag picks nephew Mayank Dagar for KXIP

Kings XI Punjab have actively participated in the IPL auction 2018. In the first round unsold players Punjab picked Mayank Dagar for INR 20 Lakhs, who apparently is Virender Sehwag‘s nephew. Sehwag is the Director of Cricket for Punjab.

Dagar has played 13 T20 matches before taking 12 wickets with best figures of 3 for 28. He has an good economy of 7.34 in the shortest format of the game. Punjab also picked up the T20 specialist Chris Gayle in the final round of unsold players for his base price INR 2 crores.

Punjab has purchased 21 players but still are in doubt of captain. Their choices for captains are Aaron Finch, Ravichandran Ashwin, David Miller and Yuvraj Singh.
