IPL Auction 2023: Mumbai Indians Purchases Cameron Green For ₹ 17.50 Cr
New Delhi: Cameron Green, an Australian cricketer, has been acquired by Reliance Industries’ IPL franchise, the five-time IPL champion Mumbai Indians.
Cameron Green, who made his international cricket debut against India in 2020, is the second most expensive player in IPL history. Mumbai Indians paid a whopping Rs 17.50 crore for him.
Earlier today, the English all-rounder Sam Curran was purchased for 18.50 crore by the Bollywood superstar Preity Zinta’s co-owned IPL franchise, Punjab Kings.
Both Sam Curran and Cameron Green are the top two highest-paid players in IPL history. They both outbid Chris Morris, who was bought out by Shilpa Shetty’s co-owned IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals in the IPL auction 2021 for 16.25 crores.
Ben Stokes, another English all-rounder, is purchased by the Chennai Super Kings for 16.25 crore, tying him with Chris Morris.
