New Delhi: The IPL governing council will be meeting in the capital tomorrow to discuss about the operational issues pertaining to the 10th season of the cash-rich league. Apart from BCCI president Anurag Thakur, secretary Ajay Shirke, GC chairman Rajeev Shukla, former India captain Sourav Ganguly, Punjab Cricket Association president MP Pandove are expected to be present. “We will only discuss about the operational part of the next season. We have to take into account a lot of factors as there will be extensive discussion on the itinerary. Earlier, social media website Facebook is all set to join the race to bag the digital rights of the cash rich Indian Premier League (IPL). It is believed that Facebook is all set to bid to acquire the digital rights of IPL. IPL has a huge audience throughout the country and in corners of the world. It is the most watched T20 league in the world, where Indian players and players from around the world participate. The emergence of many T20 leagues around the world has not taken away the sheen from the IPL. Facebook had stream Premier Futsal and also the England Striker Wayne Rooney s testimonial match between Manchester United and Everton.

Facebook will have their tasks cut out, if they are to win the digital rights for IPL, considering other big guns like Amazon, Twitter, Reliance Jio, Times Internet & Broadcasters and Sony Pictures Network India (SPN) too will bid to secure the tender.
