The Supreme Court of India on Friday dismissed Cricket Association Bihar (CAB) plea of revealing the name of the players which are there in the sealed envelope of Mukul Mudgal report. Earlier the Court had agreed to hear the petition which seeks to hand over Justice Mukul Mudgal Committee’s report. This chronicle has the names of some cricketers. This report has to be handed over to Justice RM Lodha panel. The panel is considering bureaucratic remodelling for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It was intimated to the three-judge bench which was directed by TS Thakur. It had asked for its listing to be quickly heard on Friday. The intercession had alleged that if all the details of the third report were not presented to the Justice Lodha Committee, all the hard work and time invested by the Mudgal Committee and the investigation team would be wasted. It is said that the massive expenditure done by the corresponding governments will totally go desolate.  The intercession has desired a direction to the Supreme Court Registry to transfer the first report to Justice Lodha Committee and also the complete details of Justice Mudgal Committee’s third report. This report was submitted in the court in November 2014. “This is necessary since Justice Lodha Committee has to have the benefit of the full text of the Justice Mudgal Committee report to appreciate the extent of the malaise which has set in the game of cricket so that while suggesting the administrative reforms for BCCI it can suggest measures to ensure that in future the reputation of the game of cricket will not be sullied by any scam.” ALSO READ: IPL 2013 betting and spot-fixing scandal: Gurunath Meiyappan, Raj Kundra’s fates to be decided July 2015
