The much awaited and hyped cricketing extravaganza of India, the cash-rich Twenty20 (T20) League, VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy tour for the year reached in the magnificent city of Mumbai, thus ending the six city touring campaign to a successful end. The trophy was displayed at the Infiniti Mall in Malad on Saturday, and attracted plenty of fans as their dream came true, while they showered their support for the game. The fans enjoyed the sight of the trophy, while they were also engaged in a number of sporting activities during the event, that also included clicking selfies with the trophy. The winners and participants of the sporting events received various gifts and also tickets to a few of the VIVO brand events. They also witnessed some other range of products showcased by VIVO. The VIVO Indian Premier League will kick-off on April 9, with current holders Mumbai Indians taking on one of the new entrants, Rising Pune Supergiants at Wankhede stadium, Mumbai. This season will be the ninth edition of IPL, which started back in 2008. Two new teams, Gujarat Lions and Rising Pune Supergiants, will be witnessed in this season’s IPL, in the absence of Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings, who are suspended for 2 years. Only 5 teams have won the IPL since its inception, with Rajasthan Royals winning the inaugural season in 2008. Deccan Chargers(Sunrisers Hyderabad) won in 2009.

Since 2010, only three teams have won the IPL, with Chennai Super Kings winning in 2010 and 2011, Kolkata Knight Riders in 2012 and 2014 and Mumbai Indians in 2013 and 2015. The title sponsor for IPL this season is VIVO, which is global phone manufacturer. It entered India in late 2014 and it has managed to reach 200 cities. It is one of the fastest growing companies in India, and also on the top 10 smartphone brands in the world.
