At 13 years and 166 days , Ireland‘s Gaby Lewis entered a new record as she became the youngest cricketer to born in the 21st century.

According to a report published in perthnow.com.au , Gaby played her first international T20 match for Ireland against South Africa recently. She scored five runs in her first outing and went on to score 12 not out in the next match which Irish women lost. Gaby had represented Ireland earlier against the Netherlands but those matches were not considered as full internationals

The record for the youngest international cricketer belongs to Pakistan’s Sajjida Shah, who debuted when she was just 12 years and 171 days.
