Mumbai cricketer Kaustub Pawar accused Nepal Under-19 skipper Raju Rijal of being at least 25 or 24 years old. Rijal at present is leading Nepal in the ongoing ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Bangladesh. Kaustub posted a picture of Rijab on his Facebook page and revealed that Rijal played under the name of Raju Sharma in Mumbai. He said, “We played together in under 15 for Mumbai and now he is captain of Nepal under 19 team and we others are 24-25 age respectively. Nepal are playing India in their third match of the tournament having won their previous two matches. Those matches were against New Zealand and Ireland. Kaustub, 25, made the shocing accusation justa couple of hours ago when India and Nepal’s match had just started. Rijal however failed with the bat as he was dismissed for just six runs facing 26 deliveries.

Nepal shocked New Zealand in their opening match of the tournament with a win by 32 runs. It was Rijal who top-scored with 48 runs from 65 balls and that helped Nepal crossed the mark of 200 and eventually set a target of 239 for New Zealand. Nepal continued causing upsets as they went on beat Ireland in their second fixture of the tournament. Nepal restricted Ireland at 131 runs in first 50 overs before chasing that down with 147 balls and eight wickets to spare.

Kaustub has played 27 First-Class matches scoring 1449 runs at an average of 38.93. He has four centuries and nine fifties in those many matches.
