Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh revealed how his daughter Hinaya personally messaged Virat Kohli to ask about his retirement from Test cricket, and how the batting star gave a lovely reply to her.

Team India’s star batter Virat Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket a few weeks ahead of the England tour, which was a shocking news for not just his fans, but the whole world cricket. As everyone was surprised by this decision, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh’s daughter Hinaya was no different.

Now, Harbhajan Singh has revealed that even his daughter Hinaya was curious as to why Virat Kohli announced his retirement from the longest format of the game. Harbhajan told Instant Bollywood about how his daughter herself messaged Virat Kohli about her query and how the batting maestro gave her a lovely response.

“I tweeted and asked why, Virat why? Why did you retire from Test cricket? Even my daughter asked me, ‘Papa, why did Virat retire?’ She even texted Virat asking, ‘This is Hinaya, Virat, why did you retire?’ Virat’s heart also sank. He smiled and replied, ‘Beta, it’s time,’” Harbhajan told Instant Bollywood.

Virat Kohli’s record in Test cricket:
Virat Kohli has played 123 Test matches for India, and has scored 9230 runs in 210 innings. he has also stayed not out on the field for a total of 13 times. Kohli has 30 red-ball centuries to his name, and he is also the most successful captain for Indian team in the longest format as he has won 40 of the 68 matches he led the national team in the unlimited-over format of the game.
