Jacques Kallis turns 39

Oct 16, 2014
Born on October 16, 1975, Jacques Kallis turned 39 on Thursday. The former South African is widely regarded as one of modern cricket’s greatest all-rounders. Kallis made his Test debut for South Africa in 1995, and retired in 2013. He played One-Day Internationals (ODIs) between 1996 and 2014, announcing his ODI retirement in July.
Kallis finished his international career with over 60 centuries across formats, with 45 of them having come in Test cricket. His 149 half-centuries across formats is another admirable achievement. He is one of very few players to end his career with an average of over 35 in every format of the game.

He was the leading run-scorer and orange-cap holder for RCB in the 2010 edition of IPL. He was a part of both KKR squads that won the IPL in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
