Jagadeesh V.A. struck his second consecutive century (101) while Nikilesh Surendran slammed 93 as Kerala CA notched up 304 for three in 98 overs in their first innings against KSCA President’s XI on the first day of their Safi Darashah All-India cricket tournament match here Tuesday.

Jagadeesh, whose knock of 127 in the previous game had helped Kerala beat Tripura CA by 10 wickets, continued his good form to put his team in strong position against the hosts.

Elsewhere, K.L. Rahul (162) and Ganesh Satish (91) put on 197 for the second wicket as KSCA XI made 334 for three in 86.1 overs against Goa CA in the first innings.

An unbeaten 100 by Vishal Singh saw Jharkhand CA making 243 for five in 90.2 overs against Rajasthan CA while Abhishek Reddy stroked his way to 105 as KSCA Colts ended the first day on 253 for six in 92.4 overs against Saurashtra CA.

Govind Podder’s 100 saved Odisha CA the blushes as they were shot out for 194 in 71.4 overs and Haryana replied with 68 for two by stumps.
