James Anderson playing his 110th Test match has gone past Shaun Pollock on the all time Test-match wicket-takers table. In career spanning 108 Tests Pollock had 421 wickets credited to his name. Anderson got his 422nd during the third Test of the series against Pakistan at Sharjah claiming the wicket of veteran Younis Khan to go past the South African seamer. Anderson will now have his sights on defeating Sir Richard Hadlee’s 431 wickets and will then have Kapil Dev’s tally of 434 career wickets as a fresh target. Anderson is a steady cog in the England team and has taken over the mantle of leading the pace bowling department for his country.
