James Neesham‘s second hundred in back-to-back games has put New Zealand in command against the West Indies in the second day of the first Test in Kingston, Jamaica. By scoring this ton, Neesham becomes only the ninth player in this world to reach the milestone and the first Kiwi to do so. The southpaw took a 165 balls to bring up his century.

In the elite list of players to reach the landmark, there are three Australians and two Indians. In the list, Former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin went one better and even got a third hundred in 1984-85. Rohit Sharma was the last player to reach the feat and West Indies bore the brunt of it as well. It was during Sachin Tendulkar’s last two Test matches of his career. Neesham is looking dangerous at the crease and has a good understanding of when to hold back and to go after the bowling.
