England middle-order batsman James Taylor took to social media to express his delight on being named in the England squad for the One-Day International (ODI) series against Australia. Taylor who’s last international appearance came against Ireland in the washed out ODI match at Malahide, lead the team in the match in the absence of many of the regular players. He was not in particularly good form against New Zealand, when they had visited England for a five-match series. England however managed to win the series 3-2 after the other players stepped up to the plate. READ: England announce squads for T20I and ODIs against Australia

Taylor scored an unbeaten 98 against Australia in their first game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, but ended up on the losing side in that match. England just managed to win a couple of games in the tournament that saw them crash out of the mega event, but they managed to redeem themselves in the series against New Zealand that followed. England then carried that momentum in The Ashes 2015 and regained the Urn after a humiliating 0-5 loss Down Under in 2014.
