He later explained in a blog post on Sunday as to what led to the remarks he had made</p><p></p><p> </p><p></p><p>According to reports from <em>AP</em>, the actor's 1,000-word-plus "message of amends" stated that the joking remark plays into "hurtful assumptions and diminishments" about people.</p><p></p><p> </p><p></p><p>Alexander also wrote that as an actor with many gay friends, he "should know better."</p>
