Jason Roy injury scare on day of selection for England T20 side

Uncapped England batsman Jason Roy might be injured, mere hours after being called up to the England squad for the first time for the Twenty20 International (T20I).

He was called up to the Eng #T20 side earlier today, but we now understand that Jason Roy has been taken to hospital for a scan on his hand.

News of the South-Africa born opening batsman’s injury came out shortly after his name was announced in the T20 squad scheduled to take on India in the one-off T20I on September 7. The injury comes as a massive blow to both Roy and England, who were banking on the Surrey batsman’s golden run of form to boost them against a dominant Indian side.
