Star Indian player and one of the greatest bowlers of all time. Jasprit Bumrah is all set to make his return to the T20I team against South Africa starting Tuesday.

Jasprit Bumrah is the key player of the Indian team due to his skills and wicket-taking abilities and he also got the experience of bowling in big tournaments. However, he is also close to achieving some major milestones in his career.

Jasprit Bumrah is just one wicket away from becoming India’s second bowler to take 100 wickets in a T20I, the first position held by Arshdeep Singh. Currently, Bumrah has played 80 matches and taken 99 wickets with the best figures of 3/7. However, a star Indian pacer is also set to become India’s first bowler to have 100 wickets in all three formats of international cricket.

However, Jasprit Bumrah is close to one more massive achievement as he only needs 18 wickets to reach 500 wickets and becomes the eighth Indian bowler to reach this milestone. In his career, he has played 221 international matches and clinched 482 wickets at an average of 20.60 with the highest figures of 6/19.

Former Indian cricketer Parthiv Patel spoke about the key players of Team India as he set his eyes on Jasprit Bumrah, Abhishek Sharma and Hardik Pandya for the upcoming five-match T20I series against South Africa starting on December 9.

It will be good preparation. There are a few things I’m looking forward to. Number one is how India uses Jasprit Bumrah. India has utilised his three overs in the Powerplay since the Asia Cup, and even on the Australia tour, that was the strategy. If they bowl him for three overs in the Powerplay, he only has one over left for the death, which is the 19th over. So, India will have to use him carefully. If they want him to bowl three overs early, then Arshdeep Singh has to partner Bumrah in the death overs,” Patel said.
