Other than Kohli and Rohit, Ishan Khan is also to be picked for Duleep Trophy. However, stars like Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara are not looking in to get approval.

The Test series between India and Sri Lanka is scheduled to begin from September 19. Indian pacer Mohammad Shami will also make a comeback in the upcoming international series against Bangladesh. There are chances that Bumrah is to miss first Two test matches against Bangladesh considering the upcoming busy schedule of Test cricket.

“The selectors are reportedly undecided on the inclusion of Bumrah to India’s Test squad for the first two matches against Bangladesh too as India are scheduled to play 10 Test matches in the next 4 months, with 5 of them to be against Australia”

Bumrah last appeared for India in the recently finished T20 World Cup 2024 as India won against South Africa in Barbados. On the other hand, Shami who is currently in his recovery phase, gave his last appearance in the ODI World Cup 2023 as India could not get their hands on the title against Australia.
