Bumrah, who is the quickest Indian bowler to 50 Test wickets, grabbed the headlines with stunning performances during the two-match series. In the first Test, which India won by 318 runs, he returned figures of 5/7 in the second innings as West Indies were skittled for 100. Then in the second Test in Antigua, he became the third India bowler to claim a hat-trick in Test cricket, taking 6/27 in the first innings.

He ended the series with 13 wickets at 19.23.

West Indies captain Jason Holder has also jumped spots and is right behind Bumrah, jointly at No.4. He took eight wickets in two Tests including a five-wicket haul as well. Holder is already the top-ranked allrounder in Test cricket.

He skipped seven rungs to join England veteran James Anderson at the fourth spot.

India’s middle-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane has returned to the top-10, rising four places to be placed at No.7, after following up his half-century and hundred in Antigua with another fifty in Jamaica.

Hanuma Vihari, who scored his maiden Test century in Kingston, has shot up 40 places to No.30 after just six Tests.
