BCCI secretary Jay Shah shared his views on Mayank Yadav being included in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024

The BCCI secretary Jay Shah revealed that Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bowler Mayank Yadav is currently in National Cricket Academy (NCA), and that there is no guarantee for him to feature in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024, hosted by Australia later this year.

Jay Shah also said that considering the experience he has, pacer Mohammad Shami, currently on the road of recovery, will also be there for India in Australia.

“Your question about Shami is right, but I cannot give you any answer on Mayank Yadav as there is no guarantee whether he will be in the team or no. But he is potentially a good fast bowler, and we are looking after him. He is currently in the NCA. Shami will be there because he is experienced, and we need him in Australia” said Jay Shah.
