Jaydev Shah misses ton for Saurashtra in Buchi Babu

Saurashtra captain Jaydev Shah missed deserving century against Vidharbha, while Karnataka’s pathetic show with the bat continued on the first day of their second round of matches in the All-India Buchi Babu Memorial cricket tournament, in Chennai on Tuesday.
In a Group-C match, Jaydev who made 99 (122b, 9×4, 4×6) and added 112 runs in 26.2 overs with Rahul Dave (50-7×4, 1×6) for the fourth wicket helped his team to make 337 for nine in their allotted 90 overs against Vidharbha.
Karnataka, who lost their first match in Group-D to Kerala, continued their poor performance as they lost all their top four batsmen after dismissing Gujarat for a total of 195 all out in 71 overs. Gujarat’s Akshar Patel claimed two for six. (PTI)
