Left-handed New Zealand batsman Jesse Ryder on Sunday equaled the world record of most sixes in a First Class match innings, after he clobbered 16 sixes during their tour game against Australia A at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane.

The tour game ended in a draw.

27-year-old Ryder slammed 175 off 137 deliveries against Australia A’s spinners and part-time bowlers in the tour game which ended in a draw.

After hitting 16 sixes, Ryder equaled the record jointly held by former Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds and New Zealand’s Graham Napier for the most sixes in a first-class innings, Herald Sun reported.
