England batsman Jonathan Trott has been cleared of any injury as reported by The Sun on Twitter. However, he remains in doubt ahead of the fifth One-Day International against South Africa at Nottingham on Wednesday.

“England batsman Jonathan Trott has been cleared of any fracture to his injured finger but remains a doubt for tomorrow’s final ODI,” the Sun tweeted.

Trott underwent an x-ray on Sunday to check the hand injury that he had sustained during the fourth ODI.

England leads the series 2-1 against South Africa and will retain the number one position in ODI rankings irrespective of the result of the final match.
