England cricketers Jos Buttler and Steven Finn enjoyed a bit of banter of Twitter following the advertisement of the latest football game EA Sports FIFA 2016. Cricket and football are usually a lot like ice and fire when it comes to polarising fans. A lot of cricket fans are not too fond of football, and likewise most football fanatics are rather anti-cricket. But occasionally there will be those who love both games equally, and Buttler and Finn come under that list. Pace bowler Finn tweeted, “Can’t wait for the new @easportsfifa 16 to come out. Already buzzing from this advert! (sic)” only for Buttler, currently out of the side after a lean run of form, to respond saying “@finnysteve @EASPORTSFIFA can’t wait to go all winter unbeaten against you (sic).”

However, Finn was not willing to take that lying down. He responded to Buttler by saying, “@josbuttler @EASPORTSFIFA  you said that last winter and got pumped frequently (sic).” Finn certainly makes it sound like Buttler is less adept at FIFA than he is behind the wickets. Buttler was till quite recently England’s first-choice wicketkeeper-batsman, but a poor series against the touring Australians saw him replaced by Jonny Bairstow behind the wickets. However, given that Bairstow was not particularly successful either, England could consider going back to Buttler, who was excellent for them till quite recently. Meanwhile, Finn has led England’s pace attack with much success in the absence of the injured James Anderson, and recently took an excellent six-wicket haul to help England win the third Ashes 2015 Test.
