Three-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Mumbai Indians have released 10 players while retaining 18 ahead of the auction next month. Among those who have been released are South Africa allrounder JP Duminy, Australia’s Pat Cummins, Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman and Sri Lankan Akila Dananjaya.

Among the overseas stars who will continue with the franchise include Kieron Pollard, Ben Cutting, Evin Lewis, Mitchell McClenaghan, Adam Milne and Jason Behrendorff.

Unsurprisingly, MI, who will continue to be captained by Rohit Sharma, have extended their faith in the domestic talents who have played a crucial role in their success over the years. All-rounder Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Mayank Markande, Aditya Tare, Ishan Kishan, Rahul Chahar, Anukul Roy and Suryakumar Yadav.

Earlier, MI shored up their batting buying South Africa wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock from Royal Challengers Bangalore.
