Kane Williamson becomes first New Zealand player to score century against all Test playing nations

Kane Williamson on Sunday, became the 13th player to score centuries against all Test playing nations and youngest as well. He is also the first New Zealand player to do so. Williamson scored a century against Zimbabwe in the second Test match at Bulawayo. He was unbeaten on 95 at Stumps on Day One after he put on a second wicket partnership with Tom Latham. Latham also registered a hundred. Williamson got to his 14th Test hundred, his first against Zimbabwe, with a boundary and now has a century against all the nine Test playing teams. Meanwhile, Latham followed up his hundred in New Zealand’s crushing win in the first Test with 136 in the second, which allowed the tourists to close the first day on 329 for two after they had won the toss and elected to bat. The left-hander enjoyed an opening stand of 169 with Martin Guptill, who made 87, and then added 160 for the second wicket with Williamson. Though, Latham was caught and bowled by left-arm spinner Sean Williams off what proved to be the final ball of the day.

Williamson was joined by Taylor at the crease on Day Two. Taylor had scored a century in the first Test as well. New Zealand looked all set to put on a huge total in their first innings, on a pitch that looks like a batting paradise. Zimbabwe’s seamers and spinners both struggled to find breakthroughs as the Black Caps piled on the runs on Day One.
