India’s 1983-World Cup captain, Kapil Dev, does not want a biopic made on his life. Kapil Dev said that he is not that old enough for a film to be made on his life and he is not comfortable with the idea. Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Mohammad Azharuddin are the two cricketers on which biopics are being made currently. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Kapil Dev said, “Just because Azharuddin and Dhoni have biopics, doesn’t mean that I will want one too. I just don’t like the idea of a film [being made] on my life right now. I am not that old, and people have seen how my life has shaped up. I liked the biopic on Milkha Singh’s life, but I don’t think I am comfortable with a film being made on my life at the moment. Maybe after 20-30 years, it might be okay, but not now.” MS Dhoni Biopic: Neeraj Pandey, Sushant Singh Rajput visit Keenan stadium

However, the former cricketer added that he has no plans of entering movies but is open to the idea. “I don’t think I am good enough to be in a movie. But you never know [in television]. If this [show] is successful, then why not,” he said.

“I like to watch comedy shows… I enjoy those the most. I am working throughout the day, and I don’t have too much time to follow anything else. Plus, these shows are fun and relaxing,” he concluded. READ: MS Dhoni’s helicopter shot injures Sushant Singh Rajput

According to a source, “He has been working hard to get into the skin of the character and in doing so, he fractured his ribs and was out of action for more than three weeks. He is being trained by former Indian wicket-keeper Kiran More for the film. Sushant also did some net practice along with Dhoni, who has also been helping him perfect his body language and mannerisms.”
