India‘s veteran fast bowler Ashish Nehra would be playing his final international match, when he along with the Indian side takes on the visitors New Zealand in the first of the three-match T20I series at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday. With wishes already pouring in for the legendary Indian pacer, former legend Kapil Dev himself expressed his best wishes to the veteran pacer. Nehra will bid adieu to his 18-year and eventful international career that started back in 199 at Colombo. Although his career has been marred by injuries, he has continued to be an integral part of the Indian side whenever he has played. Nehra rose to fame when he grabbed six wicket for just 23 against England in the ICC World Cup 2003 in South Africa. He also won the title four years later in 2011 at Mumbai, while he allowed India to reach the semi-final of the ICC World T20 in 2016.
