Karachi Kings register 8-run win (D/L method) win over Islamabad United in Match 10 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 in a game reduced to 13 overs per side due to rains at Sharjah. This is Karachi Kings’ first win of their tournament and their first win in the last eight PSL matches. Babar Azam played a key role in taking the Kings home. He finished with an unbeaten 47 off 30 balls, which included five boundaries and a couple of sixes. Karachi Kings eventually finished with 75 for 4 before the rain started pouring in and the umpires decided to call off play.  Due to rains, the toss was delayed and the match was eventually reduced to 18 overs per side. Rains against played a part in the middle of the innings and the match eventually was reduced to 13 overs. Islamabad United scored 90 for 8 in their 13 overs, with Dwayne Smith and Shane Watson scoring 29 and 26 respectively. Spinners Usama Mir and Imad Wasim picked up two wickets apiece. Barring a few huge blows from Smith and Watson, none of the batsmen found it wasy to get going and as a result, United managed just a par score in the end.

 Knowing that the rains could play a further part, Kings kept up with the DL par score and it paid off as they were ahead when the match had to be called off. Earlier, Kings won the toss and elected to bowl first.
