India will miss the services of leg-spinner Karn Sharma, who has been ruled out of India’s tour of Zimbabwe due to a fractured finger in his left hand. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have said that there won’t be a replacement for him. READ: Rahane, Harbhajan and other Indian cricketers to watch out for

The selectors have announced a young squad  for this tour, last week. Ajinkya Rahane will lead the team on this tour. Now with the injury to Karn Sharma, it will be a 14-member squad and Akshar Patel will be the lone front-line spinner. READ: Will the Ajinkya Rahane gamble work?

The tour was given a green signal by BCCI after a lot of deliberations, including issues against the official broadcasters of the series, as well as complaints of fatigue by weary players. However, the board put all speculations to rest when it gave the nod to the series in an official release on Saturday.
