Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground (SVRCG) in Antigua was charged by Cricket Association VP some time back that access to batting cages was turned down when they needed to go there for some work. Keithroy Black (an associate of the panel which is responsible for taking care of SVRCG) has now come out and refuted the claim made by Cricket Association VP. Vice President of Cricket Association VP said on September 17, 2015 that the association wrote some letters to the panel which appealed to them to open the cages. The response was in the positive but still the panel did not put into action what they said. These cages are yet to be sewed-up before Sir Richie Richardson U-15 contest. Black has refuted Vice President of Cricket Association VP’s proposition stating that the panel did not get any letters. Viv Richards: Brian Close influenced me beyond cricket field
In a conversation with Antigua Observer Black said, âItâs a rather unfortunate statement ⦠that is so untrue. On our record, the only club that would have made that request in writing would have been the Jennings Cricket Club leading up to the T20 and not the Cricket Association. The letter came directly from the Jennings cricket club. It was addressed to the minister and signed by Mr Glen Miller and they were given access to go and train in that area. Mahico Cricket Club also came up during that period of time and they also use the training facility and if I may go even further back, during the entire summer that we had up here, we had numerous cricketers who came up and they used the facility. The only time we would have had a little lull in terms of persons not getting the facility to use is when we have a situation with water but outside of that we would have gone through preparing the pitch and itâs there for everybody to come and use but there is a process” Virat Kohli has qualities to match his aggression: Viv Richards
