Kerala film stars and politicians to face-off in celebrity cricket match

The match between politicians and film stars is organised as a promotional event for the ongoing Grand Kerala Shopping festival

Kerala’s politicians will put politics on the backburner for a while and unite under Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s captaincy to take on Malayalam film stars in a celebrity cricket match on December 27.

The match is organised as a promotional event for the ongoing Grand Kerala Shopping festival.

Ministers, MLAs and other political leaders would be part of the politicians’ team– the ‘Kerala Legends’, while actor Mohanlal will lead the ‘Kerala Strikers’.

The event, titled GKSF T-20, will be held at Kaloor International Stadium here on December 27.

The match is organised by GKSF, Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes and Kerala Cricket Association. (PTI)
