In Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014, Delhi Daredevils struggled for momentum early while chasing a target of 191 runs on the board. They lost both Quinton de Kock and Murali Vijay early on. Kievin Pietersen, the skipper of Delhi took upon the mantle of scoring a few runs. He took on Yuvraj Singh by smashing him with a short arm pull over mid wicket for a six. He also took upon Yuvraj over extra cover for a boundary. The way he picked up the short delivery and deposited it to the stands was good to watch. Mayank Agarwal too showed his class by dancing down the wicket to Yuzvendra Chahal and smashing him for a six down the ground.

Delhi need to keep up the momentum going, as they are chasing a huge target and the track which is holding up a little bit won’t get any better as the match progresses. For Bangalore, all their bowlers including Muttiah Muralitharan and Mitchell Starc have bowled well till now. They need to keep that going for the rest of the game to win the contest and remain in contention for Play offs.

Earlier, while Bangalore were batting, Yuvraj Singh played big sixes off Imran Tahir, the leg-spinner. He even picked his googly to smash him for a six. He helped Bangalore to collect 27 runs of the final over. He was at his willowy best in the end overs and that helped Bangalore to end up with 186 for four of their allotted 20 overs.
