Former England batsman Mark Ramprakash has praised the English team for their recent performances, but also warned that fresh talent is knocking on the door.
Â
Ramprakash was quoted by Mirror, “Theyâre playing superb cricket. Their planning has been excellent, the batting has been solid and the fast bowling has been hostile. And if that hasnât worked theyâve had the magic of Graeme Swann who has just been absolutely outstanding with his off-spin.”
Â
The Surrey batsman, who is just three centuries away from Sir Don Bradmanâs first-class record of 117 tons, says that Kevin Pietersen is under massive pressure from Englandâs young batsmen.
Â
“The depth of talent is brilliant. Kevin hasnât really clicked in one-day cricket and in 50 overs itâs a big surprise to see him not dominating, Iâm sure the England management will be looking at that because there are lots of people Âknocking so loudly on the door. England can afford to be ruthless in terms of their selection. Every player is right under the pump,” he said.
