Kevin Pietersen to opt out of IPL 2015

To boost his chances of yet another England return, Kevin Pietersen has decided to opt out of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015. He was bought by the Hyderabad based franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad, reported telegraph.co.uk. The report further added, the Sunrises team management have given him the permission to miss tournament. But if they reach final, then Pietersen has to come back to India to represent his team.
Meanwhile the Surrey County Club is likely to offer a contract to to the former England skipper, which will boost his chances chance of returning to the England set-up in the future. Surrey will play their first four-day game of this season, against Glamorgan at Cardiff on April 19. So if everything goes well, he will likely to feature in this game.
But Alastair Cook, the captain of the England Test team, last week, rejected the idea of Pietersen’s comeback in the England set-up once again. According to him it is, “highly unlikely”. But with the poor showing of England in international cricket, Cook might has to take back his word, if fails to produce result in near future.
