India shambolic display against England in the recently concluded Test series  notwithstanding, outsed England batting maverick Kevin Pietersen has urged Indian batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay and pacer Mohammed Shami to sign up for state sides in Australia if they seek an improved display from the one that saw them lose three Tests in a row to succumb to a 1-3 defeat in the Old Blighty.

Vijay and Shami were teammates of Pietersen in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014, where the Englishman captained Delhi Daredevils, who finished bottom of the table. Shami was dropped in place of Varun Aaron and Pankaj Singh in the last few Test in England, where he proved impotent and although Vijay had a superb start to the tour, he was woeful in the last couple of Tests. Pujara was a major disappointment as he failed to live up to his billing as Rahul Dravid’s heir in throne for the coveted No 3 spot.
