Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) coach Trevor Bayliss said on Monday that his side will be keen to put behind their ordinary performances in the Champions League T20 (CLT20) and perform up to their potential in the upcoming edition.

According to ABP News, KKR played a practice match against a local side in Hyderabad ahead of their CLT20 2014 tournament opener against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and won the game comfortably.

“The group has come together for the first time after the IPL, hence it was lengthy. It would be very nice to do a first [winning the CLT20],” the KKR coach said.

Meanwhile, describing KKR as a very good team, Chennai captain MS Dhoni said they had their own strengths. “In fact, all teams getting into Champions League are excellent sides. They have their own weaknesses and they have their own strengths. We have to focus on that.”
