Chasing the high total of 167 to win their IPL 2014 encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders, the Delhi Daredevils are interestingly placed at 123 for the loss of four wickets at the end of the 15th over. Delhi still have JP Duminy, their in-form batsman, in the centre.
Both Dinesh Karthik and Duminy shifted gears over the last five overs, and took the attack to the Kolkata bowlers. With Sunil Narine still having an over to go, Delhi will be fancying their chances from here on. But losing their captain in the 15th over, who had already crossed the 50-run mark would be a blow as he was batting well. Manoj Tiwary has replaced him in the middle now.
After a sparkling start from Mayank Agarwal, Murali Vijay was dismissed run-out by Mayank Agarwal for a second ball duck. It was the sixth duck of the day. However, Mayank Agarwal scored aggressively to keep up with the required rate. Agarwal was dismissed by Morne Morkel for 26 from 14 balls.
Earlier, Manish Pandey and Robin Uthappa had put up impressive performances to power KKR to 166 for five after winning the toss and opting to bat.
